Tyson Fury took a swipe at Anthony Joshua's most recent tweet amid talks of an imminent clash between the two heavyweights.

Fury and Joshua have been linked with an impending undisputed heavyweight fight on August 14 in Saudi Arabia.

AJ urged The Gypsy King to agree terms for their £175million mega-fight as he called for less talk and more action.

    Fury gave the following response:

  • I TOLD YOU

Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez had a cheeky exchange with promoter Eddie Hearn after his victory over Billy Joe Saunders.

  • MORE FROM DUBOIS

Daniel Dubois was previously criticised by Billy Joe Saunders for taking a knee against Joe Joyce due to an eye injury he suffered in the fight last November.

These words seem to have come back to haunt Saunders after his own eye injury against Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez, which led to his trainer Mark Tibbs throwing in the towel.

Dubois, though, was in no mood to "rub it in" but claims this may act as an important "life lesson" for his fellow British boxer.

He said: "I’m not going to rub it in for Billy. He’ll be going through it now with the eye injury.

“Maybe he’ll regret what he said about me [after the Joyce loss], maybe this might teach him something. It could be a life lesson”

  • DUBOIS SUPPORT

Daniel Dubois shared some surprising words of encouragement for Billy Joe Saunders after his injury against Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez.

Saunders suffered ‘multiple fractures’ to the area around his eye and thus his trainer Mark Tibbs threw the towel before the ninth round.

Dubois, who was previously criticised by his fellow British boxer for ‘quitting’ against Joe Joyce with an eye injury, reached out to him via Twitter.

    Here's what he said:

  • TIME FOR THE BILL

Billy Joe Saunders will be out for a 'long, long time' and could even retire after his brutal defeat to Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez.

That is according to promoter Eddie Hearn, who stated he would back Saunders if he decided to call it a day on his career.

Hearn told : "You could see as soon as he [Alvarez] hit him [Saunders] that he'd done his eye socket.

"I think because he couldn't see, the next round was going to be a bad situation. I think he would have got badly hurt in that round.

"He's gone to hospital and I believe he'll have that operated on immediately. So he's going to be out for a long, long time.

"But he's a world class fighter who lost to the pound-for-pound number one. He's a two-weight world champion.

"If he wants to carry on there's some big fights out there for him. He may feel he has got to a stage where he's been there, he's done it, he's seen it all. We'll back him 100 per cent."

  • SAUNDERS MESSAGE

Billy Joe Saunders issued a message after his defeat to Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez.

Saunders wrote on Facebook: "Thanks everyone for msg.

“Broken eye socket and broken cheekbone in three places – operation yesterday, all went well.

“You win some and lose some. Didn’t feel out my league but got caught with a good shot and couldn’t see.

“Thank you all who watched. I’ll be back, God bless you all”

  • GOOD MORNING FIGHT FANS

Billy Joe Saunders has broken his silence after his defeat to Canelo Alvarez.

He wrote on his Facebook: "Thanks everyone for msg.

"Broken eye socket and broken cheekbone in three places - operation yesterday, all went well.

"You win some and lose some. Didn't feel out my league but got caught with a good shot and couldn't see.

"Thank you all who watched. I'll be back, God bless you all."

Saunders’ coach Mark Tibbs has defended his stoppage of the fight - insisting his 'love' for the Brit prevented him from sending him back into the fire.

The trainer threw in the towel after the eighth-round of the Hatfield hitman's super-middleweight title unification fight with the pound-for-pound king last weekend.

Tibbs told iFL TV: "It's never easy. It's never easy in a moment like that.

"But his leading eye was damaged and I've got too much love for the man to send him out there or ask him to go out there."

Saunders suffered multiple orbital bone fractures but has been criticised for the manner of his defeat.

And Daniel Dubois has recalled the former champ’s reaction to his own, similar injury.

He remarked: “I had to f go through that one didn’t I? He made his decision really quickly but I’m not going to rub it in for Billy.

“He will be going through it now with the eye injury and how the fight ended.

“Maybe he will regret what he said about me, maybe this might teach him something. It could be a life lesson.”

  • ANDED IT TO HIM

Canelo Alvarez reportedly delivered a brutal blow to Demetrius Andrade following his victory to Billy Joe Saunders - branding him a ‘horrible’ fighter.

WBO middleweight champ Andrade was told to ‘get the f*** out of here’ by the Mexican after popping up at his press conference to demand a fight.

But Canelo shot back: “Man, you fight with nobody.

“You are a champion, but you fight with nobody, man. You won the belt with nobody.

“You’re never gonna get the fight. You’re a horrible fighter.”

  • BERLANGA BRUISER

Super-middleweight contender Edgar Berlanga has slammed Billy Joe Saunders for his defeat to Canelo Alvarez.

The 17-0 New Yorker, 23,  told ESNews: “He quit. At this caliber man, you supposed to show out.

“Give a f*** if you go down, if you get knocked out, you get stopped. You supposed to go out like a champ. To quit on the stool like that is no good.”

  • PLANT THE THOUGHT

Eddie Hearn expects a deal for Canelo Alvarez to fight Caleb Plant to be easy to sort out.

The Matchroom promoter expects the Mexican’s exit from Goldenboy Promotions to aid him in doing a deal with the 21-0 star’s camp.

He said: “It’s the beauty of Canelo’s decision to be a network free agent.

“So, it stops politics, it stops anything from getting in the way. The numbers on DAZN tonight were absolutely astronomical. They’re gonna have to and they will make a huge offer for that fight. Fox will also make a huge offer for that fight.

“But he’s, you know, he’s free to make the fights that he wants to make, where he wants those fights to happen.

“So, for me, I think it’s a very straightforward process. I think that process should start immediately, and I don’t see any complications with his position.”

  • 'COME AGAIN'

Tyson Fury has continued to show his support for pal Billy Joe Saunders amid the criticism he has faced for losing to Canelo Alvarez.

  • VARG-Y BARGY

Billy Joe Saunders has been called an ‘embarrassment’ and accused of ‘not being a man’ after quitting against Canelo Alvarez.

The Brit, 31, is believed to have suffered a fractured eye socket after he was caught by the Mexican with a vicious uppercut in the eighth round.

The 43-year-old retired American said: “You're really going to freaking quit like a V, like a vagina.

“You're really going to do that? ‘Oh, my eye.’ Come on, Vato, really? Unbelievable. How dare you call yourself a champion.

“You quit like a female dog. How dare you do that. You’re an embarrassment to the sport and to all men because you're not even a man. You should be embarrassed.”

  • BILLY JOE SURGERY

Eddie Hearn has confirmed to The Athletic that Billy Joe Saunders is set to undergo surgery on his brutal facial injury.

The British boxer suffered the quadripod injury in his defeat to Canelo Alvarez.

And it is described as a ‘complete blowout’ with multiple fractures to his orbital bone.

  • WILD THING

Deontay Wilder has shown off some new moves as he continues to train for his big boxing comeback.

The American has not fought since he was battered by Tyson Fury in February last year.

The defeat saw him lose his WBC heavyweight belt as well as his undefeated record.

But Wilder is back in training, and continues to be put through his paces by fellow heavyweight Malik Scott.

Scott uploaded a video on Instagram of him having a 'late night session' with 'the future 2X heavyweight champion of the world'.

  • HEARN AND NOW

Eddie Hearn is hoping to continue working with Canelo Alvarez after Matchroom’s deal with the world champion expired.

The British promoter has looked after the Mexican since he left Goldenboy Promotions and was described as the ‘best promoter in the world’ ahead of Saturday’s win.

Hearn said: “That’s a conversation obviously to be had with Saul.

“I mean, obviously, we had a two-fight deal. It’s been the most incredible experience. I think we’ve done a great job. We all work very well together. Hopefully, we can continue the relationship for a long time.”

  • TAKE THE DUB

Daniel Dubois reckons Billy Joe Saunders has learned a harsh lesson after suffering the same skull shattering injury he bullied him over.

The 23-year-old boxed six rounds with a fractured eye socket against Joe Joyce in November before taking a knee and being counted out.

Saunders, 31, was one of a handful of current and former pros who bundled in to slam the softly-spoken heavyweight and never apologised.

Dubois remarked: “I had to f****** go through that one didn't I? He made his decision really quickly but I'm not going to rub it in for Billy.

“He will be going through it now with the eye injury and how the fight ended.

“Maybe he will regret what he said about me, maybe this might teach him something. It could be a life lesson.”

  • HISTORY MAKER

Saturday's title fight set a new attendance record for an indoor boxing event in the US.

Some 73,126 fans watched the clash unfold inside AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

The previous record dated back to 1978, when 63,000 watched Muhammad Ali fight Leon Spinks in the New Orleans Superdome.

  • GOWN AND OUT

Elsewhere in boxing, Tyson Fury could find himself ruing the day he decided to buy his expensive Versace dressing gown.

The Gypsy King has been sporting the swanky clobber during his Las Vegas training camp with Sugarhill Steward.

But the dapper £355 gown - which comes in an array of colours - has brought bad luck to many fighters who have worn it before.

  • CANELO'S UPPERCUT - A REMINDER

Let's have another look at Canelo Alvarez's brutal uppercut against Billy Joe Saunders.

Fans of the Mexican superstar could watch this all day.

  • PUSH & PAUL

Elsewhere in boxing, Floyd Mayweather could fight Jake Paul after Logan - but will NOT face the YouTubers in the same night.

Mayweather is set for an exhibition bout against older brother Logan on June 6 in Miami.

Leonard Ellerbe, CEO of Mayweather promotions, admitted the boxing legend could fight the Pauls back-to-back if he wanted to, but ruled it out from happening.

Ellerbe told TMZ Sports: "Realistically, he could. But no, from a business standpoint, no.

"Him and Logan are gonna have a great exhibition on the 6th of June and the whole world will be entertained."

  • MAY-MAC'S BACK

Elsewhere in boxing, Conor McGregor has revealed how he'd prepare for a potential rematch with boxing legend Floyd Mayweather.

The UFC's poster boy locked horns with Money in a much-maligned boxing match in August 2017.

McGregor, 32, suffered a tenth-round TKO loss to the former four-weight world champion, with fatigue playing a major role in the stoppage.

And with the benefit of hindsight, The Notorious would make use of fresh attacking-minded training partners late into his sparring sessions.

During an impromptu Twitter Q&A on Sunday night, he said: "I’d have people press forward in sparring.

"Especially in the later rounds. A fresh body pressing forward for the last 4 rounds."
