Who has Anthony Joshua lost to?

The Brit's first career loss came against Andy Ruiz Jr back in June 2019.

It came as a huge shock to the world of boxing as nobody gave Andy Ruiz Jr a chance going into the fight.

Joshua was put on the floor four times by Ruiz Jr before the fight was stopped in the seventh round.

AJ got revenge on the Mexican-American in their rematch before Joshua lost his world title belts again two years later.

Oleksandr Usyk was the Brit's next nemesis as the Ukrainian became the world heavyweight champion by unanimous decision (117-112, 115-113, 116-112) at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium back in September 2021

Almost a year later, Joshua was hoping he could replicate what happened when he met Ruiz Jr for a second time, but this time against Usyk.

However, the Ukrainian triumphed again in Saudi Arabia claiming the victory by way of split decision (113-115, 116-112, 115-113) last August.

What world title belts has Anthony Joshua held?

Joshua first became a world champion back in 2016, when he won the IBF title from Charles Martin.

The Watford-born star then added the vacant WBA and IBO titles to his collection when he knocked out Wladimir Klitschko in 2017.

Joshua lost all four belts to Ruiz Jr and was stopped by the Mexican in the process before winning them back on points last December.

AJ has currently no belts to his name following his two successive defeats to Oleksandr Usyk in 2021 and 2022.

When did Anthony Joshua turn professional?

Joshua turned professional back in 2013, a year after winning gold at the 2012 Olympic Games in London.

Joshua has remained with Matchroom ever since.

In the summer of 2022, AJ ended his eight-year TV broadcast partnership with Sky Sports.
