Daniel Dubois lined up to fight either Dereck Chisora or Dillian Whyte if Joe Joyce clash falls through next year

DANIEL DUBOIS could fight Derek Chisora or Dillian Whyte if a bout with Joe Joyce falls through, Frank Warren has revealed.

Dubois absolutely demolished Kyotaro Fujimoto in the Fight before Christmas to take his record to 14-0.

And now the Brit heavyweight has his sights set on his old sparring partner – vowing to “bang him up” if he underestimates him.

Dubois’ promoter Warren has said his wish is for Dynamite to face Joyce for the European heavyweight title in the spring.

But, failing that, he said a mouthwatering bout against Chisora or Whyte is also in the pipeline.

Writing in his column, Warren said: “Daniel Dubois showed last weekend against Japan’s Kyotaro Fujimoto what devastating power he has.

“And my wish is for him to face Joe Joyce for the European heavyweight title in April at The O2.

“If Joyce doesn’t take that fight then I hope someone like Derek Chisora or Dillian Whyte would step in to face him.”

Warren confronted 34-year-old Joyce’s manager Sam Jones after Dubois’s win over Fujimoto.

But Jones refused to accept the all-British clash.

That leaves Dubois hoping a deal can be made after Joyce’s European title tilt in January.

Whyte was earlier this month reinstated as the WBC mandatory challenger after being cleared by UK Anti-Doping.

However, the Brit heavyweight won’t receive his shot at Deontay Wilder until after the Bronze Bomber’s February fight against Tyson Fury.

Warren also used his column to express his desire to see Fury take on Anthony Joshua.

He wrote: “Fury and Wilder will probably fight again in the summer.

“But I want to see Fury in against WBA, IBF and WBO champion Anthony Joshua.”
