Who is Sergiy Derevyanchenko?
BORN in the Ukraine in 1985, Derevyanchenko was introduced to the boxing by his father.
Up until the age of 10, he trained at a local gym in Feodosiya before impressing and rising up the amateur ranks.
Derevyanchenko is 5ft9 and a talented middleweight, possessing hard hands and agile movement.
Due to his superb technique, the Ukrainian has become known as 'The Technician'.
He competed at the 2008 Olympics and in the World Series of Boxing from 2010, where he made his name as one of the most impressive fighters in the tournament.
During his time in the series, he competed in 24 bouts, winning 23 of them.
Derevyanchenko turned pro in 2014 and signed with promotor Lou DiBella, officially fighting out of New York.
After an impressive start to his pro career, he signed a deal with manager Al Haymon after just two fights.
