When are the World Athletics Championships 2017, what is the schedule, and when are Usain Bolt and Mo Farah running?

It's the final hurrah for Bolt and Farah, the two athletics icons will be hoping to bow out with even more golds

THE World Athletics Championships kick off on Friday night.

It takes place at the Olympic Stadium in London, where a certain Usain Bolt claimed three Olympic golds in 2012.

The Jamaican will be looking to add his 12th and 13th world golds in the 100m and 4x100m relay. Not to mention the eight Olympic medals already in his glimmering trophy cabinet.

Mo Farah could cement his name in athletics history with a fifth double in the 5,000m and 10,000m.
