TYSON FURY admits Deontay Wilder could have KILLED him with the devastating final round blow that floored him in December.
Yet the Gypsy King is adamant he “didn’t feel any pain” from the brutal right-left combo that floored him.
The 31-year-old is preparing for his September 14 Las Vegas showdown with Otto Wallin ahead of his rematch with WBC champ Wilder next year.
It is a match-up boxing fans are desperate to see again following the first explosive showdown in Los Angeles.
Fury came mightily close to an upset Stateside as he almost produced the perfect display to dethrone the Bronze Bomber.
Ahead on the scorecards, the Brit looked set to reclaim the belt until he was decked in the 12th after being caught with a huge combination.
Amazingly he managed to regain his senses and climb back to his feet, leading to the judges scoring the contest a draw.
Discussing the huge punch that sent him crashing to the canvas, Fury told : “It didn’t hurt at all. I didn’t feel any pain so probably not (unconscious).
“I think when you get hit in certain areas in the head you lose your coordination, you lose everything. It just goes for a second or so.
“But when you come around you either get up and your legs are gone, or you get up and you’re OK like I was in that 12th round.”
Despite claiming the whack did not hurt, Fury did concede that it could have taken his life.

He added: “As easy as I got up, I may never have got up. That was the type of punch that sometimes people won’t wake up from. Especially hitting me with a right hand and as I was going down he hit me with a left hook as well.
“So that should have been concrete, good night Vienna. But the Gypsy King rose like a phoenix from the ashes off the canvas to rally back from the 12th and it was an epic round.
“We won Ring Magazine Round of the Year, so it must have been a good round.”
