Man Utd legend Sir Alex Ferguson pushes trolley load of water bottles during shopping trip
SIR Alex Ferguson finds another way to wet his whistle after calling Fergie Time on booze — water.
The Manchester United legend, 77, pushed a trolley load of bottles out shopping in Wilmslow, Cheshire.
He went teetotal last year as he fought back to health after a brain haemorrhage.
The former footie manager was rushed into hospital following a seizure at his home in May last year.
He was placed in an induced coma at Salford Royal Hospital on May 5 but released a month later.
The Sun revealed his first words when he came round from his coma were: “How did Doncaster get on today?”
But son Darren’s team lost 1-0 to Wigan as Sir Alex was in the operating theatre.
Sir Alex still keeps 800 bottles of vintage vino at home but was seen supping only water on a recent holiday near Nice in France.
No longer a red devil, then.
