BOXING fans have come up with a bizarre theory on how Anthony Joshua lost his world titles to no-hoper Andy Ruiz Jr this month - and Oscar winning actress Olivia Colman is to blame.
British former heavyweight champ Joshua starred in an advert alongside the The Favourite star Colman in February.
In the British Airways ad, AJ, 29, is filmed walking down the aisle of a plane saying: "The way you pick yourself up when things get tough."
At that moment, he is clobbered in the head by 45-year-old Colman as she swings a suitcase into the luggage compartment.
The Peep Show actress continues: "And dust yourself off."
Colman then turns to Joshua and apologises while he rubs his head.
A few months later he was floored four times and stopped in the seventh round in New York to Mexican Ruiz Jr, 29.
Suspicious fans picked up on the advert and joked Joshua was dazed going into the fight as a result, even though FOUR months had passed in between.
One said: "Just seen that BA100 ad @British_Airways love it. But Olivia Colman hitting Anthony Joshua in the head with her bag may explain why he was gaga against Andy Ruiz Jr 🤣🤣"
Another laughed: "Just realised, Anthony Joshua hasn't really been the same since Olivia Colman thumped him in the head with her suitcase, during the British Airways ad...."
One simply said: "The reason @anthonyfjoshua got beat last week it wasn’t Ruiz the man was concussed after Olivia Colman bashed him in the head #colmansasavage"
Boxing fans were stunned when the referee waved off Joshua's fight against Ruiz Jr after he hit the deck for the fourth time.
Promoter Eddie Hearn denied claims his fighter was concussed from a sparring KO in the build up to the bout.
He also hit out at reports Joshua suffered a panic attack before entering the ring - but fans believed the way his eyes were moving in his ring-walk showed something was not right.
