Amir Khan vs Manny Pacquiao: Khan set to finally agree dream fight vs Pacquiao in Saudi Arabia on November 9
AMIR KHAN is close to his dream fight with Manny Pacquiao in Saudi Arabia on November 9.
Bolton star Khan has been chasing the eight-weight legend since 2008.
The pair verbally agreed to a welterweight showdown in 2017 before the deal collapsed.
But Khan — beaten by WBO king Terence Crawford in April — is now set to land a long-awaited clash with PacMan.
First, he is expected to fly through his July 12 fight with Neeraj Goyat in Saudi — but Pacquiao, 40, has a much sterner test against Keith Thurman a week later.
Khan, 32, said: “Hopefully, he’ll win, I’ll win and we can make it after that.
“I know I haven’t got long left and I want to make the most of what’s left of my career.”
The duo spent years together training under Freddie Roach in his California gym, sparring several rounds at the Wildcard Boxing Club.
Pacquiao, the WBA “regular” welterweight champion, hopes to unify his title against the organisation's “super” belt holder Keith Thurman on July 20.
PacMan is coming off a convincing points win against former Floyd Mayweather apprentice Adrien Broner in January.
