AFGHANISTAN were caught up in a curry-house bust-up on the eve of their match with England - which led to the cops being called.

It is claimed the players confronted a member of the public after taking exception to him filming them in the Indian eatery.

And police had to be called to the scene, although no arrests were made.

Akbar’s refused to give further details about the incident when contacted by SunSport.

But Greater Manchester Police confirmed in a statement: “Shortly after 11.15pm on Monday June 17, police were called to reports of an altercation at a premises on Liverpool Road in Manchester.

“Officers attended the scene. No one was injured and no arrests have been made. Enquiries are ongoing.”

Afghanistan are bottom of the ICC World Cup table losing all five of their games.

They were soundly beaten today by Eoin Morgan's side by 150 at Old Trafford.

Morgan top scored with 148 runs from 71 balls to set the minnows a huge target of 398.

Hashmatullah Shahidi was Afghanistan's top scorer making 76 from 100 balls but they were way short and go to Southampton on Saturday to face India.
