FAT CHANCE

Andy Ruiz Jr wants to look like ‘a Mexican AJ’ for rematch with Anthony Joshua

ANDY RUIZ JR has joked he wants to look like a “Mexican AJ” when he faces former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua later this year in a rematch.

The 29-year-old shocked the world on Saturday night after climbing off the canvas to drop the Brit four times with the referee waving away the fight in the seventh round.

We’ve guessed how Andy Ruiz Jr might look with a body like AJ’s

The 19st Snickers loving Ruiz Jr was a 25/1 underdog to topple Joshua at Madison Square Garden as he inflicted the greatest heavyweight upset since Mike Tyson was knocked out against Buster Douglas 30 years ago.

He is expected to face the 2012 Olympic gold medallist in November or December after Joshua triggered an automatic rematch clause in his contract.

And he is demanding a whopping £40million should the clash take place in the UK as he looks to defend his WBA, WBO and IBF titles in America or Mexico.

Speaking to Jimmy Kimmel, he told the TV host how he wishes to become ripped like Joshua when he next faces him inside the ring.

He said: “The main thing is to stay busy, stay active. I want to get in better shape.

“I want to look like a Mexican AJ. Get those muscles.

“Wherever it’s gonna be (the rematch) it’s gonna be a hell of a fight.”

Despite initially offering Joshua a message of support after his first professional defeat, Tyson Fury has ripped into his compatriot, labelling him a disgrace.

Deontay Wilder has also been critical of his rival and claimed that Eddie Hearn is forcing AJ into a rematch against Ruiz Jr.

Heavyweight contender Joe Joyce believes Joshua will be “done” if he loses against the Mexican-American again as he urges him to be more careful.
