And Hearn believes Wilder versus Joshua won’t happen until 2021, saying that he knows that Luis Ortiz and Adam Kownacki have been “promised” fights with the American.

The Matchroom promoter said that he hopes people are starting to see the problem is with team Wilder and not on their side in making the fight happen.

Speaking to , Hearn said: “[I'm] gutted, I’m just glad now that finally people are starting to see.”

"[It's] depressing. I can’t be bothered to talk about it. I just hope the public have seen the truth."

“I can’t understand - if you’re Deontay Wilder, why would you not fight Anthony Joshua for double - treble the money you’re making anywhere else. It’s there for him.

It’s bulls*** for the sport of boxing it really is

Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn

“I know that [Luis] Ortiz has already been promised the Wilder fight, I know that [Adam] Kownacki has already been promised the Wilder fight.

“So we’re not just talking about 2020, we might be talking about 2021 when Wilder’s available.

“It’s bulls*** for the sport of boxing it really is and it’s annoying because certain people without the brain capacity presume that Joshua doesn’t want to fight Wilder - you couldn't be more wrong.

“Take control of your own career. He always says in interviews, ‘these promoters don’t let you do this and you’ve got to be in control of your own career'.

"If you want the fight, take control of your own career."

SunSport reported how Hearn had another blast for a heavyweight boxer - Cuban Luis Ortiz.

But Hearn told iFL TV his two offers were snubbed by the Cuban’s team, which included a lucrative rematch if he beat unified champ Joshua, 29, or another fight “for a lot of money for security”.
