Arsenal plan guard of honour for departing Aaron Ramsey and Petr Cech before final Emirates clash of season vs Brighton

ARSENAL are planning a guard of honour for Aaron Ramsey and Petr Cech ahead of their final Premier League home game of the season on Sunday.

Ramsey will end his 11-year tenure with the club when he moves to Juventus on a free transfer at the end of the campaign.

And Cech, 36, will bring the curtain down on his illustrious career after over 440 top-flight games for both Chelsea and Arsenal.

SunSport exclusively revealed how Ramsey has played his last game for the Gunners after injury ended his season.

But he will be given the chance to wave goodbye to the home faithful when they host Brighton at the weekend.

Ahead of Arsenal's Europa League semi-final with Valencia, Unai Emery was full of praise for the Welshman.

He said: "For me it was a good experience [to work] with every player and with him especially, because he can transmit his energy and he showed me his heart is red with Arsenal.

"I wanted to enjoy it with him. I said to him one month ago that I wanted to do something important in his last matches with us - maybe he can come back in the future. It will not be with him on the pitch but he is still with us."

Ramsey had been at the club for two years when Laurent Koscielny joined in 2010.

And the Frenchman praised Rambo's fighting attitude even though he had already secured a deal with Juve.

He said: "What I like about Aaron is that, we know he signs for Juventus, but he is still a professional and always fights for the club and for the team.

"Sometimes you have players who have stopped fighting for this team but I think he has loved this club and that is why he stayed at 100 per cent for us. It shows a great mentality and character."

Arsenal are two points behind fourth-placed Prem side Chelsea, who also have a one better goal difference.
