Khan was put down in the first round and hardly recovered as his American rival picked him apart.

The trio of judges all scored the opener a 10-8 round following the horrific start for the ex-I'm a Celebrity star.

By the end two of them had it 49-45 and the other 50-44, as the WBO welterweight champion dominated.

It was all too much for an ageing Khan, who was urged to retire following the shocking end.

He was caught with a low blow by his 31-year-old opponent, but refused to take his allowed five minute break.

His training Virgil Hunter pulled him out as a stunned Madison Square Garden looked on in disbelief.

Dozens of fans agreed with the scorecards by the time the scrap was over and praised the judges.

One said on social media: "Scorecards spot on. Correct result. Yep low shot by Crawford but let's face it, he completely outboxed, outclassed Khan."

Another added: "Decent scorecard."

And a third said: "Khan has one last pay day. But would people really cough up for Khan vs Brook?"
