Joe Cole to face ex-Chelsea team-mate Didier Drogba at Stamford Bridge for England vs Soccer Aid World XI
Jamie Redknapp, Usain Bolt and Sir Mo Farah are just three of the big names who will play at Stamford Bridge on June 16
JOE COLE will wear the England shirt again for the final time – as he makes an emotional return to Stamford Bridge.
The 37-year-old is the latest name to be announced to play in the Soccer Aid for Unicef match on Sunday June 16.
Cole won three Premier League titles, two FA Cups and one League Cup during a seven-year spell at Chelsea.
And he scored 10 goals in 56 caps for England, including a memorable screamer against Sweden at the 2006 World Cup finals.
The Londoner will play alongside Sir Mo Farah and Jamie Redknapp in the charity match – and poignantly he will face his former Chelsea teammate Didier Drogba, who is part of the Rest of the World XI.
USAIN BOLT IS BACK
The England team will be managed by Sam Allardyce, who was sacked by the FA after just one match in charge of the Three Lions side in September 2016.
Usain Bolt, the world’s fastest man, will also be involved.
Cole said: “I can’t wait to get back on the Stamford Bridge pitch and to be part of Soccer Aid for Unicef.
“I’m looking forward to playing with, and against, some of my old teammates – and to pull on the England shirt once again.
