Australian football in mourning as John Odisho, 25, shot dead at his home
Parramatta player's family let doctors turn off his life support after he was blasted in the head
AUSTRALIAN FOOTBALL has been plunged into mourning after a player was shot dead in his own home on Monday.
John Odisho, 25, who played for Parramatta Melita Eagles, suffered gunshot wounds to his head at his Sydney flat.

A male relative was shot in the arm in the same incident at Five Dock.
Odisho's family let doctors turn off the player's life support the following day.
CCTV images showed two men running from the scene after the shooting.
Odisho had recently rejoined Parramatta, who are based in the Sydney outskirts and play in the semi-professional New South Wales state league - the Australian fourth tier.
Club president David Frendo said: "It's with deep sadness that we share with you some devastating news.
"Senior player John Odisho has sadly lost his life in a horrific incident in Five Dock earlier this week.
"John, who returned to Parramatta FC this season, was considered a key signing for our 2019 season.
"On behalf of the Parramatta Melita Eagles Sports Club Board, I offer heartfelt condolences to John's family, his friends and to all personnel involved with John during his time at our club.
"Rest In Peace John - forever an Eagle."

New South Wales cops are investigating whether a man who attended a city hospital with a gunshot wound to his stomach early on Tuesday was involved in the shooting.
However sources revealed neither he nor Odisho's relative, 24, have cooperated with police.
NSW Police said: "Investigations are continuing, and anyone who was in the area at the time or has any information that may assist police is urged to come forward."
