Conor McGregor hints at Jose Aldo rematch as he demands recount of 2015 victory after shock retirement
Former featherweight and lightweight champion has claimed he sparked the Brazilian fighter in 12 seconds at UFC 194
CONOR MCGREGOR has hinted he could come out of retirement for a rematch with rival Jose Aldo.
The Irishman, 30, claimed he will be "back in a jiffy" as he demanded a recount of his incredible win over the Brazilian in 2015.
McGregor stunned the sporting world when he announced his retirement from MMA earlier this week.
But the Irishman has fuelled speculation that he could make an early return to the octagon when he reignited his feud with Aldo on social media.
He picked up the UFC featherweight title when he beat the 32-year-old at UFC 194 in 2015 after just 13 seconds.
And speaking to his 7.56 million followers on Twitter, he said: "I sparked Jose in 12 seconds I demand a recount."
He then shared a clip of the knockout and added: "It was 12! Look at this gif closely everyone and watch the clock.
"Referee Big John steps in at 4.48 seconds of the very first round. That's 12 seconds.
"I demand it corrected before anymore talks commence. And yes that's right. I smoked that boy in a gif. Now pass me the whiskey."

McGregor then tweeted: "A Proper Twelve second demolition job. The number don't lie. Have that changed, I be back in a giffy."
He has also sparked rumours he could return to boxing after he posted several snaps of him sparring.
Some fans expected him to take part ownership of the UFC, but Dana White has confirmed that that it is "never going to happen."
