AMIR KHAN has claimed he hasn’t ruled out facing Kell Brook in the future as he prepares for his world title fight against Terence Crawford next month.

And the Brit boxer is confident he can upset the odds at Madison Square Garden on April 20 and inflict a first defeat on Crawford’s perfect record.

Speaking in a conference call on whether a fight against rival Brook will ever materialise, the 2004 Olympic silver medallist insisted there is still a chance the pair will share a ring one day.

He said: “I don’t know if that fight is still going to be there. I chose this fight over that one.

“I know I have seen numerous times in the media, (Brook’s promoter) Eddie (Hearn) saying the fight is dead now, it is not going to happen again.

“Look, who knows? Time will tell. I am taking it fight by fight, so let’s get this one out of the way first, then we will take it from there.”

Discussing his upcoming fight with Crawford, the former I’m a Celebrity contestant declared he is relishing his underdog tag.

He added: “We are training hard and sparring hard. I know Terence is a up there with the best pound-for-pound fighters and I respect what he has done. I am not taking this fight lightly.

“But I know I can win this fight with my boxing skills, being smart and cause an upset. When I am an underdog, I perform at my best.
