David Brooks appears to suffer ankle injury just three games after returning for Bournemouth
Attacking midfielder has possibly injured the same ankle he hurt in January when his team were spanked 4-0 by Chelsea
DAVID BROOKS could be set for another spell on the sidelines after appearing to injure his ankle in Wales' 1-0 win against Slovakia.
There was delight for Ryan Giggs and his troops as Dan James' solitary strike saw them pick up three points in their opening Euro 2020 Qualifying game.
But it could have come at some cost, as Bournemouth man Brooks had to be replaced on the hour mark.
It appeared he had re-injured the same ankle that he hurt in the Cherries 4-0 thrashing at the hands of Chelsea back in January.
He only returned to action earlier this month, featuring three times for Bournemouth.
But Brooks, who has impressed on the south coast since his £11.5million, might be missing out on Premier League action once again.
However, despite Brooks looking to be feeling some pain in the ankle, Wales boss Giggs could have been giving him a breather on his way back to full fitness.
Tyler Roberts took his place on the pitch at the Millenium Stadium. with 30 minutes to go.
James gave Wales boss Giggs the perfect start to their Euro 2020 campaign with the winner over Slovakia.
The flying Swansea winger pounced on hesitation from Slovak full-back Peter Pekarik to fire past Martin Dubravka after five minutes in Cardiff.
And James' early strike handed Wales a much-needed three points in Group E ahead of two tough away dates against favourites Croatia and Hungary.
