ARSENAL star David Ospina was rushed to hospital amid harrowing scenes after he collapsed on the pitch.
The Gunners keeper, on loan at Napoli, fell to the ground after suffering an earlier head injury in the Serie A clash against Udinese.
Five minutes from half-time, the referee stopped the game after concerned players alerted him to Ospina's fall in front of his penalty box.
The 30-year-old Colombian had sustained a head injury and wore a huge bandage after colliding with Udinese forward Ignacio Pussetto.
Ospina looked unconscious as Napoli's medical team rushed to offer him a treatment - but it was later reported he regained consciousness in hospital after being diagnosed with a head trauma and remain there overnight.
Napoli players looked horrified as he was being stretched off, with keeper Alex Meret readying himself to come on.
Ospina was rushed to hospital and model wife Jesica is reportedly by his side as he begins his recovery after undergoing a CT scan.
Ospina had conceded two goals before falling to the turf, only for his team to score twice and eventually win 4-2.
The ex-Nice star joined the Serie A side on loan from Arsenal last summer after the Gunners had signed Bayer Leverkusen keeper Bernd Leno.
Ospina's contract at the Emirates expires at the end of this season, but his future at the club remains uncertain with Arsenal reportedly looking to sign a new shot stopper.
He has played in 13 Serie A games this season and featured in all six Champions League game for Napoli.
The Italians were drawn against Arsenal in the Europa League quarter-finals and will travel to London on April 11.
