Darts legend Raymond van Barneveld’s 25-year marriage heading for divorce before star was pictured kissing mystery blonde
Dutchman, 51, and his wife Silvia have reportedly been living apart since January
MARRIED darts ace Raymond van Barneveld has set his sights on a divorce after he was caught by The Sun kissing a younger woman.
The five times world champ, known to fans as Barney, is no longer with his wife of 25 years, we can reveal.
It comes a month after spouse Silvia, 52, denied their marriage was in trouble — and just a day after we published photos of the player smooching his lover in a hotel lobby.
A spokesman for the star, 51, said last night: “I can’t speak for Silvia but they have been working on getting divorced for a few months. They are wanting to do it at their own pace.
“They live their own lives but with a good understanding of each other.”
The couple, who live in The Hague, Holland, have two daughters. Barney also has an older son from a previous relationship but admits he does not speak to him.
The ace was pictured with his young new love checking out of a four-star hotel in Exeter on February 28.
Onlookers had thought the mystery woman was his daughter.

She also joined him in Ireland last Saturday at a charity night at the Kildrought Lounge pub in Celbridge, Co Kildare.
An onlooker said: “He kept on smirking like the cat who got the cream.”
Barney is bottom of the Premier League Darts table and has fallen out of the top 32.
