Terriers fans sing ‘we’re going down’ as Iwobi and Lacazette boost Gunners top four hopes

ALEX IWOBI and Alexandre Lacazette made things look simple with two first half goals as Arsenal eased to victory.
Yet had the opposition been any more menacing than the toothless Terriers then Unai Emery’s side might have struggled.
As the home fans were singing just before Lacazette claimed his 12th goal of the season : “ How **** can you be? It’s only one – nil!”
Even so this was the Gunners’ first away win since beating Bournemouth on November 25.
They had lost four and drawn one of their last five on the road but once Iwobi got lucky in the 17th minute Huddersfield were on their way to a seventh successive Prem defeat.
Sead Kolasinac fired over a low cross and while Iwobi connected he got no power on his strike.
But Ben Hamer, in goal with No 1 Jonas Lossl ill, was sent the wrong way by Terence Kongolo’s deflection.
Arsenal’s second goal at least nodded towards the Beautiful Game.
Laurent Koscielny crossed and Henrikh Mkhitaryan controlled before touching to Ainsley Maitland-Niles.
His drive across the six yard box was touched in by Lacazette just before the break.
Jan Siwert’s side had a very decent claim for a penalty denied between those goals when Koscielny got in the way of Jason Puncheon’s strike and deflected with his right forearm.
Indeed the new boss saw plenty of spirit from his side and even some decent attempts on goal.
But those fans who were poking fun at Arsenal were also chanting that their Terriers are already down – no matter all the positive noises still coming from Siewert.
Kolasinac netted a bizarre consolation goal for Huddersfield in the last minute of the game, but it was not enough for the hosts to end the dreadful 13-game streak without a win.
