Facebook behaviour reveals anger among Arsenal fans – but much love at Liverpool
FACEBOOK behaviour has shown that Liverpool fans are the most satisfied in the Premier League while Manchester United remain the most popular club across all social media.
Meanwhile Arsenal fans, who endured a topsy-turvy year after replacing Arsene Wenger with Unai Emery, are not convinced by the new regime.
According to research by Arsenal fans are the least satisfied of the rest of the big six, with over 300,000 hostile reactions sent on Facebook last year.
In contrast, Liverpool supporters were the most positive on the social media platform, after a calendar year that saw them reach the Champions League final.
Reds fans sent over four million positive thoughts to Jurgen Klopp’s men in 2018, a figure only bettered by Man United, who also suffered nearly four times as many bad reactions.
Southampton scored lowest in the league after a year where the Saints only narrowly avoided relegation and sacked Mark Hughes.
Surprisingly it was Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth who placed second in a table balancing good and bad reactions, after they scored the fewest angry responses across all the Premier League clubs at 538.
Despite endless stadium and transfer problems, Spurs fans are still satisfied with how Mauricio Pocettinho’s men are competing, with over one million love reactions.

Out of the Premier League’s three new teams, Wolves scored highest with a good to bad ratio of 19.6, slightly above relegation favourites Cardiff and Fulham.
Although they finished midtable for fan satisfaction, Manchester City were the fastest growing club on Facebook, with seven million new fans acquired.

Manchester United are still by far the most dominant club for total fan engagement, with over 300,000 more reactions than second-placed Liverpool.
The Red Devils also have the edge over local rivals City, adding twice as many supporters to their social media channels than the Citizens last year.
The Facebook figures for 2019 may see United claim top spot after we revealed the club has won more points than any other team since Solskjaer replaced Mourinho.
Solskjaer has won over the support of fans and Gary Neville insisted his amazing impact has given the club a huge dilemma over who to appoint as manager.
