Facebook behaviour reveals anger among Arsenal fans – but much love at Liverpool

Meanwhile Arsenal fans, who endured a topsy-turvy year after replacing Arsene Wenger with Unai Emery, are not convinced by the new regime.

According to research by  Arsenal fans are the least satisfied of the rest of the big six, with over 300,000 hostile reactions sent on Facebook last year.

In contrast, Liverpool supporters were the most positive on the social media platform, after a calendar year that saw them reach the Champions League final.

Reds fans sent over four million positive thoughts to Jurgen Klopp's men in 2018, a figure only bettered by Man United, who also suffered nearly four times as many bad reactions.

Southampton scored lowest in the league after a year where the Saints only narrowly avoided relegation and sacked Mark Hughes.
