Deontay Wilder says he’s ready for Tyson Fury rematch and hints it’ll be held in Vegas
WBC champ insists the fight needs to be held in the United States for financial reasons
DEONTAY WILDER confirmed he's ready for a blockbuster rematch with Tyson Fury - and hinted at a Las Vegas venue.
The two heavyweights fought out a classic in Los Angeles in December that ended in a controversial draw.
A rematch has been on the cards ever since that night, and now WBC champ Wilder says he's ready.
Asked about a second fight, the American told Behind the Gloves: "Yeah most definitely, most definitely.
“I feel good, I’m ready to get in camp, I’m ready to get it on."
Wilder suggested the bout could be scheduled for May but insisted it would have to be held in the United States to maximise finances.
He said: "If we’re going to put our life on the line again we’re going to get the most money and that’s in America baby.
“Vegas is a strong possibility."
Before Fury, Wilder had been tipped to meet the IBF, WBA and WBO champion Anthony Joshua.
That battle is back on the table with promoter Eddie Hearn offering a 60-40 split of the purse in a potential April 13 fight at Wembley Stadium.
But the American said: “When these guy come with a real offer - they know what we want, I ain’t trying to play around, come straight, come correct, come direct.
“They know what we want, there’s no need to play around no more.
“If it ain’t right we don’t want to entertain it and that’s just the bottom line."
