Cristiano Ronaldo sells £3.25m Cheshire mansion complete with media suite and cinema room – but loses £645k
The Portuguese bought the five-bedroom house in 2008 while at Manchester United but now plays in Italy
CRISTIANO RONALDO has taken a £645,000 loss after selling his mansion in Cheshire for £3.25million.
The Portuguese superstar bought the five-bedroom property for £3.895m in 2008 while a Manchester United player.
However, based on the reported £510,000-a-week salary he agreed with Juventus in the summer, it will take the striker less than 10 days to earn that money back.
The house will now have a new owner subject to the successful exchange of contracts.
The house has sold fairly quickly, with the Juventus star deciding to put it on the market in the week before Christmas.
Located in affluent Alderley Edge - home to many footballers based in the north west - the house comes with all the amenities a footballer could want.
The property features an indoor swimming pool, along with a jacuzzi and steam room and, naturally, a private gym.
Among its many modern luxuries is also a cinema room and media suite, as well as a double garage to store your vehicles.
The new owners will have five bedrooms at their disposal, and his and her's dressing rooms with en suites attached.
While the house itself is magnificent, the large garden and terrace provide a picturesque outdoor setting too.
The house was Ronaldo's first purchase in Manchester, having previously lived in a club property in Woodford.
Ronaldo would live in the house for less than a year before completing a then world record £80million transfer to Real Madrid in 2009.
He had lived permanently in Madrid until his summer move to Turin giants Juventus.
While the Portuguese would enjoy a successful time in Manchester, winning three Premier League titles, the FA Cup and the Champions League, his 10 years in the Spanish capital would reap even greater rewards.
He was part of Zinedine Zidane's side that claimed three consecutive Champions League titles, as well as La Liga.
He had also won the premier European competition in the year before Zidane's arrival.
Now settled in Turin with son Cristiano Jr, twins Eva and Mateo, youngest daughter Alana and partner Georgina Rodriguez, Ronaldo will be hoping he tastes similar success in his new home.
