Whyte writes off AJ as a ‘clown’ then vows to finish off Klitschko for good
Heavyweight hopeful is sick of Joshua's 'stupid offers' and has turned attentions to possible fight with retired great
DILLIAN WHYTE will happily smash Wladimir Klitschko into permanent retirement if Anthony Joshua keeps clowning around with stupid offers.
The Body Snatcher looked a dead cert to land an April 13 rematch with AJ after the WBA, IBF and WBO champ jumped into the ring following his sensational win over Dereck Chisora just before Christmas.
But the British golden boy was booed out of the O2 after dithering on the deal and has since followed it up with an offer Whyte has now dismissed as “stupid”.
A shock bout with supposedly retired 42-year-old Wladimir Klitschko has now been rumoured and the no-nonsense 30-year-old Brit has no qualms about bashing up the veteran legend.
The fans’ favourite will meet with promoter Eddie Hearn on Monday after the matchmaker returns from holiday to discuss the long list of options.
And he told SunSport the surprise bout against the Ukrainian hero could well be on the cards while Joshua continues to swerve him.
When SunSport asked about the Kiltschko showdown, Whyte said: “Who knows? This is heavyweight boxing and stranger things have happened.
“All I know is that it’s very unlikely that I’ll be fighting AJ in April. I just received a stupid offer from him yesterday after waiting for it since October.
“I’m not waiting around for that clown. He clearly doesn’t want it. Eddie wants to meet on Monday to discuss the offer along with other options. So who knows what he’s cooking.
“There has been a first offer but it is utterly ridiculous, a lot less than what I made for Chisora, I think they only made the offer to cover themselves, they are not serious about it.
“The offer is silly, I am a pay-per-view fighter now, I have worked my way up with nine wins since I boxed him, all won in spectacular fashion.
It is a childish offer, they know what I bring to the table, if he doesn’t get Deontay Wilder or Tyson Fury then I am the only one who sells Wembley out.
Klitschko has not boxed since his 2017 KO loss to Joshua at Wembley, his second consecutive defeat to a UK fighter after Tyson Fury bamboozled him in 2015.
Whyte would be the third Brit on the spin to face the former ten-year king and the Jamaica-born Londoner insists there will be no coming back this time, if the fight gets made.
The fearless ace said: “I’d definitely fight Klitschko though, if he wants it, he can have it.
“And he won’t be coming back ever again after I’m done with him. That I can promise you.
“I have trained alongside him and sparred him, I will knock him out.
“He gave AJ hell and he is a big strong man but I want to fight him. I know how to fight him.
“I just believe i will take it into his kitchen and rip the sink out.
“He doesn’t like body punches, I know that from sparring, so he will get that.
