But the judges were split - with Frank Bruno leading the cries that Brit Fury had been robbed of victory .
Speaking afterwards though, Fury was less fussed about the outcome of the fight than in dedicating his performance to people fighting their own demons.
In a captivating interview, Fury, who belted out a version of American Pie during his press conference , urged those with their own battles to seek help.

"After two-and-a-half years out the ring, ten stone ballooned, mental health problems.
"I just showed the world tonight, and everyone suffering with mental health problems, you can come back and it can be done.
"Everybody out there who has the same problems I've been suffering with, I did that for you guys.
