CHRIS Eubank snr and Nigel Benn are preparing for a stunning rematch - 25 years after they last fought.
The boxing legends are close to announcing the unlikely comeback, according to sources.
The money spinner could be announced as early as next week.
But first Eubank, 52, and Benn, 54, will have to convince the British Boxing Board of Control (BBBC) they are fit to fight, in order to get a licence.
The pair swapped punches over two epic fights in the 1990s.
Eubank knocked Benn out in 1990 and the pair drew in the 1993 rematch.
More than 17 million Brits tuned in to watch their second bout, dubbed Judgement Day.
Benn's camp said: “This fight has been in the making for three and a half years, on and off, on and off.
“Nigel is travelling to Spain this week to do a Q&A and he will be making a big announcement.”
Benn has also called out veteran slugger Steve Collins, 52, who held the WBO world title at both middleweight and super-middleweight.
Eubank and Benn could fight in April 2019, according to reports.
They both have sons who are lighting up the boxing divisions.
Chris Eubank Jnr, 29, is a former IBO super-middleweight champ.
Conor Benn, 22, is a fighter in the welterweight category.
