UFC star Paige VanZant hints at moving into WWE after admitting ‘it would suit me’
Stunning MMA fighter has met with WWE's Stephanie McMahon despite her ESPN+ Fight Night showdown against Rachel Ostrovich in January
UFC bombshell Paige VanZant says she can see herself changing the octagon for the wrestling ring one day - and has already met with WWE's Stephanie McMahon.
Before that, the American mixed martial arts fighter is looking to her UFC return in January, a year after she broke her arm in a loss to Jessica Rose-Clark.
VanZant, ranked 15th in the women's flyweight division, has never been crowned champion but she says she is not ready to give up on her UFC career just yet.
The 24-year-old fighter, however, says she is intrigued by the glamour of WWE which would 'suit her'.
Paige told MMANews.com: "I'm not ready to leave the UFC just yet.. I love being a professional fighter and I still have a long career ahead of me.
"I also think the WWE is an amazing organisation and it’s a very athletic entertainment industry which would suit me.
"There’s probably huge potential for a crossover down the line and of course I’m a big fan of what they do, so it would be great to be a part of."
VanZant even met WWE's Chief Brand Officer Stephanie McMahon during the global tech conference Web Summit taking place in Portugal.
She revealed: "I got the opportunity to talk to Stephanie for a little bit on Tuesday which was great."
Before going down the same road as RAW Women's Champion Ronda Rousey, Paige is looking to her clash with Rachael Ostrovich on January 19 in her ESPN+ Fight Night debut.
She will resume training next month, for the first time since breaking her arm - having powered through two surgeries that significantly extended her rehabilitation.
While out of action, VanZant indulged in a romantic holiday with her newly married partner Austin Vanderford, also an MMA fighter.
She has helped Vanderford in preparation for two contests, although admitted that watching her husband fight "made her really jealous".
