Wayne Rooney dishes out some discipline to son Kit, two, after a ‘terrible twos’ tantrum
Despite their estimated £100 million fortune the former England footballer and wife Coleen face the same problems as millions of parents across the UK
WAYNE Rooney showed he has picked up some management skills from Sir Alex Ferguson as he dished out some discipline to one of his sons during a family day out.
The former England ace was caught on camera as he got to grips with Kit as the two-year-old had a “terrible twos” tantrum.
Rooney, 33, scooped up his third son as he and Coleen, 32, took their boys for a morning stroll close to their home in Washington DC, where he plays for DC United.
And the pictures are proof that despite an estimated £100million fortune, he and wife Coleen face the same problems as millions of parents across the UK.
An onlooker said: “The Rooneys were enjoying a nice relaxing day out, and Kit wanted to do something which Wayne and Coleen were unhappy about.
“He wouldn’t listen so Wayne just picked him up and carried him.
“Wayne doesn’t take any messing but Kit was fine a few minutes later and was dashing around as usual.”
The Rooneys moved to the US this summer after he left Everton for the MLS.
Since then the dad-of-four has been credited with turning around the fortunes of his latest team, scoring 12 goals and creating seven more.
During the 2015 BBC documentary Wayne Rooney: The Man Behind The Goals, Coleen revealed that Wayne is the disciplinarian with their young sons.
She said: “He’s quite strict and I never thought he would be like that.
"I always thought I would be the stricter one.
"But he doesn’t really have no messing.
“But then other times he is like a big kid with them.
