Kell Brook posted on Twitter explaining the reasons why Dominic Ingle will not be in his corner for his next fight

“Some were due to fight on big cards in the US and therefore a training camp out in Toronto was scheduled for their preparation.

“For a number of years now I have based myself out in Fuerteventura for my training camps.

“As I have last boxed in March, I wanted to do a lengthier warm weather stint to assist my recovery and preparation for any forthcoming bouts.

“I understand with Don already committed to the above, he could not make himself available to assist on this occasion for my training camp.

“I know the Fuerteventura setup well and have had some familiar faces and good people around me to support with camp.

“I am now scheduled to fight on December 8 and to avoid disruption as well as ensuring I maintain momentum, I will continue to base myself out here in Fuerteventura for this bout.

“Preparation has thus far has gone very well and in the interest of maintaining this momentum, for this particular fight, Dominic Ingle can not be in my corner.

“At this point I have nothing further to add on the matter and my full focus and attention is on getting myself ready to put on a spectacular performance for the fans and to close the year in special fashion.”

Brook, 32, has not fought since March but will return to the ring in his home town and will see the fight as preparation for a showdown with rival Amir Khan next year.

Although nothing official from Matchroom has been announced regarding who Brook will fight, Zerafa came forward to announce he is the man in the opposite corner.

He told : “You can tell Amir Khan that it’s funny how he talks smack once Kell Brook is booked for a fight. The truth is, Khan has been running scared for ages!

“Once I beat Kell Brook on December 8 I’ll be after him next, I’ll be handing toothpicks to Khan so he can get the leather out his teeth!

“Kell is a great fighter and champion. But I also see a ship with a lot of holes and too many holes leads to a sunken ship.

“He’s been in there with the best but believe I belong in the same ring as those fighters. I’m super-hungry for that win.

“December 8th, there will be a huge upset and will surprise a lot of people.”
