Sadio Mane back for Liverpool after surgery but Jordan Henderson and Naby Keita to miss Red Star Belgrade game
Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that the Senegalese star has recovered well ahead of the Champions League tie
SADIO MANE looks set to return for Liverpool against Red Star Belgrade - but Jordan Henderson and Naby Keita will not be available.
Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that the Senegal international is training well ahead of Wednesday's Champions League tie.
The Senegalese star was pictured with a cast on his hand during training on Tuesday.
Mane underwent surgery last week after he reportedly broke his thumb while on international duty.
But Klopp has confirmed that the 26-year-old has recovered well after he sat out of Saturday's 1-0 win over Huddersfield.
Speaking at the pre-match press conference, the Reds boss said: "Sadio looked good in training in the last two days.
"He trained completely normal, so if nothings happens he is in contention.
"I learnt that word a second ago actually! So that's good. We'll see."
Henderson is also expected to miss Saturday's clash against Cardiff after he picked up a hamstring injury against the Terriers.
Keita sustained a hamstring strain while on international duty with Guinea, but the boss believes he is in a "good way".
Klopp added: "Naby will not be available, Hendo not as well. Naby is in a good way already.
"He's outside running and all that stuff. So we'll have to see, we take it now day by day.
"We cannot put any pressure on that, we have to see when he is fully fit. It should not be that long anymore.
"Hendo got a little hamstring injury in the game and how I understood it is that it is not too serious but serious enough that he will not be available tomorrow and not at that weekend also.
"Then we will count the days. Hopefully he will be back for Arsenal but for the next two not available."
Liverpool need to secure three points on Wednesday after they suffered a devastating 1-0 defeat to Napoli in their last group game.
