Amir Khan claims Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao are avoiding him
A scrap against fellow Brit Kell Brook appears more likely, although there is still work to do on that one too
AMIR KHAN has claimed Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao are avoiding him.
While Mayweather is supposedly "retired", Khan and Pacquiao are very much active, but a fight between any of the three looks remote.
While Mayweather has already fought, and beat Pacquiao in the past, Khan has never had the chance to stand toe-to-toe with either of the boxing greats.
But the Bolton man isn't too confident it will ever happen, and believes both of them are ducking him.
Speaking to , Khan said: “Listen, Pacquiao and Mayweather are the names I want to fight.
“They are both the names I’ve been chasing. I’ve been very close to making the Pacquiao fight happen years ago but I don’t want to wait around.
“At the end of the day, I’m ready for Mayweather or Pacquiao now!
“Maybe we can make it happen early next year but I just don’t think they want to fight me.
Mayweather and Pacquiao are just teasing the fans that they are going to be fighting each other.
“But look, I’m not teasing anyone. I want to take that fight and I honestly think I would beat them."

SunSport reported two days ago how Kell Brook is a more likely opponent for Khan - in February or March next year.
The Bolton boxer wanted to fight Pacquiao next, but negotiations have all-but ended as the Filipino star eyes a rematch with Mayweather.
An outline deal for Khan's showdown with Brook has now been agreed, according to
Both fighters, who are represented by promoter Eddie Hearn, have been trash-talking for more than six years.
Khan has claimed that nothing can stop him fighting Brook, but the 32-year-old is growing increasingly frustrated at the weight demands.
The Olympic silver medal winner stated that both fighters will weigh in below 147lbs on the day, with a 10lbs rehydration clause in the contract.
But Special K hit back and claimed that he will eat whatever he likes because there will not be a rehydration clause for their bout.
In a scathing attack on Khan, the former IBF champ said: "Please Mr Brook don't rehydrate and hurt me.
"This DIVA still think he's a celebrity and in the jungle rationing what I can eat??
"@amirkingkhan I'll weigh in at 147, and then eat whatever I like #Khanivore #TooShookForBrook."
