Arsene Wenger ready to help PSG snatch £55m youngster Tanguy Ndombele from under Tottenham’s nose
Legendary Arsenal boss has been linked with a role alongside Thomas Tuchel at Parc des Princes
ARSENE WENGER is reportedly ready to help Paris-Saint Germain beat Tottenham to the signing of Tanguy Ndombele.
The former Arsenal boss has been linked with a general manager role alongside Thomas Tuchel with the Ligue 1 champions.
The 68-year-old identified the Lyon midfielder, 21, as the player he would sign first at Parc des Princes.
He has emerged as one the most promising young prospects in Europe following his impressive form last season.
As a result, he was recently called up by France and has attracted interest from a host of clubs.
Tottenham have been linked to the midfielder and they reportedly had a £40m rejected by the French side in the summer.
The ex-Amiens star is under contract for five more years with Lyon and he is expected to cost around £55m.
Wenger could sway his decision, but the legendary Premier League boss has not confirmed his next move yet.
He has been out of work since the end of last season, but he has revealed that he will return to the dugout in January.
The ex-Gunners chief said: "I believe that [I will] start again on January 1.
"I don't know where. I feel rested and am ready to work again.
"From my 22 years at Arsenal, I have big experience on different levels. There are enquiries from all over the world.
"There are associations, national teams, it could also be Japan."
