West Ham lead Tottenham and Man Utd in January race for Burnley ace Tom Heaton, say bookies

WEST HAM are favourites to land Burnley star Tom Heaton in January.

The bookies also have Man Utd and Tottenham as potential destinations as the 'keeper admits he may need to move in the next transfer window.

The England international is coming back from a horrific shoulder injury he suffered at the start of last season.

The 32-year-old is 5/1 to join the Irons in the New Year after falling down the pecking order for both club and country.

Heaton said: "Come the January transfer window, I've got to keep my options open."

Heaton is fighting with Nick Pope and Joe Hart for the No. 1 spot under Sean Dyche.

Tottenham (8/1) and Man Utd (10/1) are also being linked by the bookies with a move as he'd brought in to bolster their options.

Betfair Spokesperson Katie Baylis said: “Heaton’s injury has really stalled his career and with talk he may need to leave Burnley to get game time we make West Ham the 5/1 favourites for a move in the next transfer window.

"Spurs are next at 8/1, with United at 10/1.”
