Belgium 2 Switzerland 1: Romelu Lukaku scores twice as Roberto Martinez’s men go top of Nations League group
Manchester United talisman stole the show in what could be Thierry Henry's last match as assistant manager
ROMELU LUKAKU stole the show as Belgium beat Switzerland 2-1 to go top of their UEFA Nations League group.
The Manchester United talisman scored a late winner after Mario Gavranovic's equaliser cancelled out his opener at the King Baudouin Stadium.
The score was locked at 0-0 until the former Everton star opened the scoring after 58 minutes in Brussels.
Following some impressive build-up play from Eden Hazard and Co, Lukaku received the ball inside of the penalty box.
He looked up and confidently drilled the ball into the net with a left-footed strike.
But Roberto Martinez's men were caught out when Xherdan Shaqiri delivered a deep free-kick towards the back post.
Nico Elvedi managed to head the ball back into the box and Gavronic's left-footed strike found the net to make it 1-1.
But Lukaku hit back in the 84th minute to secure all three points for the Red Devils.
Chelsea star Hazard linked up well with Dries Mertens before the ball was slotted into the path of the 25-year-old.
The Belgian forward made no mistakes as he scraped the ball past the goalkeeper and into the net.
Thierry Henry was on the sidelines, but it is expected to be his last game as Belgium's assistant manager.
The Frenchman is expected to sign a new deal to become Monaco's new manager on Saturday.
