CONOR McGREGOR is believed to have APOLOGISED to Khabib Nurmagomedov during his crushing defeat at the weekend.
The build-up to the UFC lightweight world title clash was littered with trash-talk between the two and their respective camps.
Before the fight, McGregor had said: "I am going to maul him and then let's see who's doing the talking, let's see who's having a conversation in there."
It of course escalated to the shocking scenes that played out after Nurmagomedov had forced McGregor to tap out in the fourth round.
The victor leapt out of the cage and appeared to launch an attack on McGregor's coach Dillon Danis, while two of his own friends tried to get at The Notorious.
But a video is doing the rounds on social media of some interesting words said by McGregor at the end of the third round.
As the referee rushes in to separate the warring duo, McGregor is heard to say; "It's only business."
Nurmagomedov then replies: "Hey, I guess so," before returning to his corner.
SunSport previously revealed the three chilling words said by Nurmagomedov to McGregor during the one-sided fight.
After flooring McGregor with a huge right-hand in the second round, Nurmagomedov went in for the kill, raining down heavy hands as the Irishman tried to cover.

Then with their faces just millimetres apart, the Russian warrior said to McGregor: "Let's talk now."
It was in reference to Nurmagomedov keeping his cool throughout the build-up to the lightweight world title fight, while McGregor, as usual, took centre stage.
But at the end of UFC 229 in Las Vegas at the weekend, there was only one man left standing after the brutal clash.
UFC commentator Joe Rogan was quick to point out that things were said between the two throughout the fight, but it was these three chilling ones in particular that might stick with McGregor for a while.
