ROCKY FIELDING is about to be propelled into the big time and even Eddie Hearn is hailing his upcoming fight as a 'dream come true'.
The British boxer will face Canelo Alvarez before the year is out, on the biggest stage of his career.
Boxing promoter Hearn has described the upcoming fight as the 'opportunity of a lifetime'.
He also hailed the fight a 'Cinderella story' which has the opportunity to change the British boxer's life.
The fight will be Fielding's first on foreign shores.
But, Alvarez will be a tough opponent for the British fighter, as he's had just one professional defeat in 52 fights.
Who is Rocky Fielding?
The 31-year-old boxer has sealed a blockbuster fight for the end of this year and has come a long way since his days of sparring in Liverpool.
Fielding is a British boxer who stands at 6ft1 and turned professional in 2010.
Rocky isn't officially the boxers first name, it's actually Michael- but he's had the nickname 'The Rock' since birth when he weighed a whopping 10lbs.
What is his professional record?
Fielding is the WBA super-middleweight champion having clinched the title in July, when he beat Tyron Zeuge in Germany.
The fight was won after a fifth round knockout of the previously undefeated German.
Liverpuddlian Fielding has lost just once in his 28-fight career.
When is he fighting Canelo Alvarez?
Fielding is taking on Mexican Alvarez who is moving up a weight division, having become the unified middleweight champion in September.
The pair will take to the ring on December 15 this year, in the bright lights of New York.
Fielding will get the opportunity to fight at Madison Square Garden where the great and the good of boxing have fought.
Eddie Hearn was thrilled with planned fight and said: "It's something I didn't think I'd ever say.
"Rocky Fielding will defend his WBA title against Canelo Alvarez at Madison Square Garden.
