Chelsea legend John Terry is 3/1 to be next Aston Villa boss after Steve Bruce sacking
Former England star captained the Villains last season and could return as manager
JOHN TERRY'S odds of replacing Aston Villa boss Steve Bruce have been slashed to 3/1.
The Chelsea legend played for the Villains last season and could return as manager after Steve Bruce was sacked as manager.
Bruce is under increased pressure as supporters begin to get on his back - with one fan throwing a cabbage at him in frustration.
His side are just mid-table despite heavy investment and they have won just once in their last 12 games.
Bruce is just 11/10 to be gone by Christmas just a day after they threw away a two-goal lead to draw 3-3 at home to Preston.
Alex Apati of said: "Theirry Henry was once a frontrunner to replace him but attention has now turned to former fan favourite JT."
Terry is still out of work after leaving Villa last summer.
The 37-year-old looked certain to make a lucrative switch to join Spartak Moscow after completing his medical.
But the move abroad fell through after he did not want to relocate his family to Russia.
Terry has also been linked with a return to Stamford Bridge in a coaching role, but is yet to commit himself to a new task.
