Liverpool star James Milner is just 2/1 to make Leeds United return
Former England ace could return to his boyhood club after he made his pro debut for Whites in 2002
LIVERPOOL ace James Milner is just 2/1 to join Leeds United as next club.
The former England international was linked with a return back to his boyhood club last month.
The Leeds-born midfielder came through the ranks at Elland Road to make his pro debut at the age of 16 for the club he supports.
Milner's current contract expires in the summer, which has sparked rumours he could return to the club where he began his career.
Leeds are currently joint-top of the Championship and are among the favourites to get promoted to the Premier League.
Meaning there is a possibility Milner would have to sacrifice top-flight football to make the return.
Alex Apati of said: "If Leeds needed an incentive to win promotion back to the Premier League, then the potential return of James Milner has to be it."
Financial problems forced Leeds to offload Milner to Newcastle in 2004.
From St James' Park, the 32-year-old went on to play for Aston Villa and Manchester City before joining the Reds in 2015.
