Jose Mourinho oversaw a United side who did not win their Champions League group game against Valencia

JOSE MOURINHO appears to have bought himself time following Manchester United's goalless draw against Valencia.

The Special One is now 16/1 to be sacked before this weekend's clash against Newcastle, after being just 2/1 before kick-off yesterday.

Although Mourinho is not entirely in the clear as he is just 1/3 to be sacked before Christmas.

The results is not the only factor which is putting Mourinho under pressure, as his relationship with his key players has also deteriorated.

His relationship with Paul Pogba has become incredibly strained after their training ground flare up was public.

This has seen Pogba's odds of leaving in January shift to 5/2.

While Alexis Sanchez was also warned that he may not play for United again unless his attitude improves, with the Chilean at 6/4 to leave in January.

Spokesperson Katie Baylis said: “It may not have been a loss, but last night’s draw with Valencia has only sharpened the knives.

"While we don’t think anything will happen immediately at the club and have it at longish odds of 16/1 that Mourinho will be gone by the weekend, it’s 1/3 he won’t be managing the club come the Boxing Day fixtures.

"If Mourinho does go, then of course Pogba is much more likely to stay, however we still at 5/2 that he will leave in the next transfer window, with the equally under siege Alexis Sanchez at 6/4 to be gone come February 1st.”
