Born on September 16, 1993, in Modesto, California, Bryson DeChambeau is an American professional golfer.
Fans call him "The Scientist" or "Mad Scientist" because of his analytical approach to the sport.
He has been playing golf since he was a kid but rose to prominence when he was a student at the Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.
In 2015, he became the first ever SMU Mustang to win the NCAA individual championship.
A few months later, he clinched the US Amateur title, becoming the fifth player to win both titles within the same year, joining the likes of Tiger Woods and Ryan Moore.
DeChambeau made his pro debut in 2016 at the RBC Heritage after signing with Cobra-Puma Golf.
