Real reunion

Cristiano Ronaldo will return to Real Madrid one day, claims president Florentino Perez

The Portuguese ace may be under contract with Juventus until 2021, but that hasn't stopped Real Madrid ruling out a reunion with him

CRISTIANO RONALDO has cemented himself firmly in the record books for Real Madrid and will eventually return to the side where he spent nine years of his illustrious career.

That's according to the club's president Florentino Perez, who claimed he would give the Portuguese star a 'big hug' if he saw him, proving there is no bad blood between the Spanish club and their former star player.

Ronaldo found the back of the net 451 times and won 16 titles with Los Blancos during the nine seasons he spent with the Spanish side.

And was a fan favourite as a result.

Speaking to El Chiringuito, Perez said: "Cristiano has remained at the heart of all Madridistas.

"If I saw him today I'd give him a big hug, he's the worthy heir to Alfredo Di Stefano.

"One day he'll return to Real Madrid."

The Spanish side's all-time leading goal scorer departed this summer after helping them to Champions League glory and was sold to their European rivals Juventus.

And despite the 33-year-old being under contract in Italy until 202, Real Madrid are refusing to rule out a heroes welcome.

But they may have to contend with Inter Miami, as David Beckham has a mouthwatering wishlist which has Ronaldo's name at the top.

The five time Ballon d'or winner will be unable to help his current side in their Champions League clash with Young Boys, due to a red-card in his side's clash with Valencia.

But he is expected to feature in Juve's meeting with his former club, Manchester United.
