Accrington Stanley launch most bizarre appeal ever as fan loses their FALSE TEETH during AFC Wimbledon match
League One side uploaded the image to Twitter after Saturday's 2-1 win at Crown Ground
ACCRINGTON STANLEY have launched a bizarre appeal after a fan left their TEETH at the stadium on Saturday.
The League One side uploaded an image of the gnashers to Twitter after Saturday's 2-1 win over AFC Wimbledon at City Ground.
Accrington shared the snap with their 63,200 followers, but they have not yet been claimed.
The social media post read: "Found: Has anybody lost their false at Accrington Stanley this afternoon? They are being kept in the office!"
One fan responded: "Not lodged in a half eaten pie were they? #askingforafriend."
While one took a cheeky dig at the club by stating: "Sums you up, there were less than 1500 home fans there again, it won't take you long to find their owner."
Another added: "Oh my god, of all the things to leave at a stadium - your teeth!!!"
Accrington are now ninth in the table, with three wins from their opening nine league games.
John Coleman's side took the lead against Wimbledon when Billy Kee opened the scoring after just six months.
Sean McConville then doubled the lead in the second half, before Scott Wagstaff pulled one back for Neal Ardley's men.
It really was a toothless performance from the visitors, who are now slumped just above the relegation zone.
Accrington will be hoping for the supporter to claim their pearly whites before next Saturday's trip to Walsall.
