Woods, 42, was found to have a cocktail of drugs in his body at the time and in October 2017 pleaded guilty to reckless driving.

He avoided going behind bars in a deal that saw him agree to take a DUI diversion course as well as be put on probation for 12 months.

During this time he could not drink alcohol or take drugs and was subjected to random drug and alcohol testing.

The Palm Beach County State Attorney in West Palm Beach, Florida, wrote in a legal document that Woods' probation could end a month early.

It read: "The Court being fully advised that the Defendant has successfully completed all regular and special conditions of probation, it is hereby, ordered, adjudged and decreed that the Defendant's probation is hereby terminated successfully."

The ruling means Woods can celebrate in style should the United States win the Ryder Cup in France next week.

Woods was originally selected as one of captain Jim Furyk's vice-captains but was given a pick to play after his stunning return to form this year.
