MANCHESTER UNITED fans trolled Hugo Lloris by chanting "he's still on the p***" following his drink-drive arrest.

The Tottenham goalkeeper was locked up in the early hours of Friday morning after he failed a roadside breathalyser test in Central London.

Despite initial speculation, Lloris was named in Mauricio Pochettino's starting XI for the Premier League victory over Manchester United.

And the home fans at Old Trafford saw it as the perfect opportunity to get under the 31-year-old's skin.

Thousands of supporters were screaming: "He's still on the p***, he's still on the p***, Hugo Lloris, he's still on the p***."

The World Cup winner has since offered a grovelling apology to Tottenham and the club's supporters.

But the United fans are clearly not willing to forgive him just yet.

Lloris spent seven hours in custody at Charing Cross police station and has been released on bail ahead of a court hearing next month.

Lloris dined out with his French team-mates Laurent Koscielny and Olivier Giroud before he was pulled over in his car.

His Tottenham team-mates hit the town this weekend, but Lloris missed out following his arrest.

Fans were shocked to see that Lloris had kept the captain's armband for tonight's showdown with Jose Mourinho's side.

Tottenham talisman Harry Kane was expected to take over skipper duties as Spurs piled the pressure on the Reds with a 3-0 win.
