England star Jimmy Anderson smacks himself in face with golf ball as Stuart Broad wets himself laughing
The Lancashire bowler had been enjoying a practice round at Stoke Park ahead of tomorrow's England golf day when the ball ricocheted into his chin
ENGLAND bowler James Anderson should probably stick to cricket — after hitting himself on the chin with a golf ball.
The SunSport columnist has been declared fine for tomorrow's team golf day at Stoke Park.
Anderson, 36, had been warming up with a round with Stuart Broad, but gave his team-mate something to laugh about after striking the ball off of a tree and onto his chin.
The fast bowler, who bats left-handed but plays golf with his right, showed his pain as Broad posted the video of his failed attempt on Twitter.
The Nottinghamshire star captioned it, clarifying that his team-mate was alright, before including a series of 'crying laughter' emojis.
When he takes on the rest of the England team on Monday in Buckinghamshire, Anderson told SunSport: "This time I'll try and avoid the trees."
The England team are currently enjoying some downtime following their first Test win over India.
Anderson took four wickets over the two innings to help them to a 31-run victory at Edgbaston.
Should he avoid the trees and any other dangers in tomorrow's golf day, England's leading wicket-taker will revert back to cricket on Thursday.
They take on India in the second of the five Test series at Lord's, with Ollie Pope and Chris Woakes replacing Dawid Malan and Ben Stokes in the side.
