XANDER SCHAUFFELE is one of the biggest names in golf, but his wife Maya can often be seen cheering him on from the sidelines.
But who is the superstar golfer's wife and where did they meet?
Maya met Xander in 2014 while she was studying at the University of California.
Xander was studying at San Diego State University at the time.
After graduating in 2017, Maya went on to complete a masters degree in Health Care Administration/Management at the University of Maryland.
The couple tied the knot at their home in Las Vegas in 2021 and do not have children together.
Maya is often seen at tournaments with her husband and has once caddied for him in the par-3 contest before the start of the Masters.
Schauffele turned professional in 2015 and has nine PGA tour wins to his name.
His incredible performance at Valhalla saw him win the PGA Championship title in May 2024, which was the American's first Major.
The 30-year-old claimed his second Major win in July 2024 after winning The Open at Royal Troon.
Before playing at the Majors, he added the WGC-HSBC Champions trophy to his collection in October 2018.
In 2022, Schauffele won the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, the Travelers Championship and the Scottish Open in a four-month spell.
On the International stage, Schauffele won a gold medal for the United States at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.
Xander will be facing off against the second highest paid athlete in the world, Jon Rahm, and Team GB's Tommy Fleetwood.
The final will take place on August 4, 2024.
Jon and Xander will be going into the final neck-and-neck, with Tommy at a slight point disadvantage.
