Everton blow as Yerry Mina confirms he wants to stay at Barcelona after brilliant World Cup campaign
The Colombian international wants to remain at Camp Nou to fight for his place in the team.
EVERTON chase for centre-back Yerry Mina is over after he confirms he will be staying at Barcelona.
The 23-year-old has admitted to receiving offers but wants to remain at Camp Nou and fight for his place in the team.
The Colombian international confirmed this week that he had been in touch with Everton about a move to England.
However Mina has now shut those reports down after vowing to stay at Barcelona and fight for his place in the squad.
Mina has made just five La Liga appearances last season and only two of those ended in Barca victories.
He is now set to prove all his critics wrong and will make a final decision on his future after a post World Cup break.
Mina told : "I have offers but I want to succeed at Barca."
"Right now, I'm enjoying my holidays and, when the time comes, I'll decide with my family what's best for everyone."
The centre-back arrived at the Camp Nou in January for €11.8 million and his release clause was set at €100 million.
The deal made him the first ever Colombian to play for Barcelona.
